The Music and Artistic Director, Maestro Giovanni Rota, head of the Ensemble "Hortensia Virtuousa", has at first transcribed the original score of 1696 by the Italian composer Bartolomeo Bernardi and then later edited the complete performance of the score which includes ten sonatas.
As expected from the composer the sonatas were performed with original instruments (or copies of them) using a historic organ that is located in Capurso (Ba), in the church of S.F. from Paola. It is a positive organ of the Neapolitan School by Pietro De Simone, Jr., in 1753, 419 Hz tuning fork, mean-tone temperament.
This work is a project of musical research with the intention of offering music UNPRECEDENTED in modern times while respecting the sound and the performance practice dating back to where these sonatas were composed.
It 'not to be missed and a CD with a major change, with the CD, in fact, is available in PDF format, the score transcribed for the occasion.
The CD was inserted in PROGRAMMING PUGLIA SOUNDS RECORDS 2016.
