Having had the fortune of my sonatas being loved by the public, I will consider them even more worthy of appreciation once you ,Your Eminence,  have honoured me with your approval. I take the liberty to present you with my fifth work. I hope your noble title of protector of science and art will excuse my audacity. It’s natural that a man who considers his talents average  tries to support them with such a respectful name and such  imposing protection.
